Family and friends gathered at a hanger in Nikiski Saturday afternoon to remember and honor the life of Willy Rediske.
Rediske was the pilot of the de Havilland Otter that crashed July 7, killing all ten people on board. The McManus and Antonakos families, two families from Greenville, South Carolina, were the passengers killed in the crash.
Rediske owned and helped operate Rediske Air based out of Nikiski.
A spokesman for the family says hundreds of people showed up for the memorial service and potluck to pay their respects to his family.
