Kodiak police say a 16-year-old boy shot earlier this week has died.
Lt. Ray Ellis tells KMXT the boy died of his injuries Wednesday at an Anchorage hospital.
Police have not named the victim.
The boy was wounded by a shotgun Sunday when visiting the home of a 15-year-old boy. Police have released few details.
Police at the time arrested the younger boy on an assault charge, and he's being held at the Kodiak jail. His name also hasn't been released.
Ellis says the investigation continues. When announcing the arrest earlier this week, Kodiak Police Chief T.C. Kamai (kuh-MY') said the teen could face additional charges.
