A former Alaska Aerospace Corp. employee will serve two years' probation and fined $5,000 after violating federal conflict of interest laws.

KMXT reports 48-year-old Jodi Ann Andres of Anchorage was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Anchorage.

The U.S. attorney's office says in a release that Andrew worked from 2003 to 2006 as an auditor for the Department of Defense's Defense Contract Audit Agency. In that position, she was the primary auditor for the Missile Defense Agency.

Later, she was hired as a controller for the Alaska Aerospace Corp., which was a contractor for the Missile Defense Agency.  Prosecutors say she represented the Alaska corporation on the same contract she audited while working for the federal agency, violating a lifetime restriction.
