U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller says he would support efforts to defund President Barack Obama's health care law, if elected.
Miller made the comment in a fundraising appeal on Thursday, in which he invoked the names of Sens. Rand Paul, Ted Cruz and Mike Lee.
Miller was a tea party favorite during his unsuccessful effort in 2010 to unseat U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski, a fellow Republican. He is one of several Republican candidates who have announced plans to seek the Senate seat currently held by Democrat Mark Begich in 2014.
Begich supported the health care overhaul and has defended it repeatedly, while also expressing willingness to work on certain areas that may need fixing.
