Anchorage police say all parties have been accounted for following a South Anchorage dispute between movers and a neighbor Thursday morning, which culminated in the neighbor brandishing a gun.

According to APD spokesperson Dani Myren the incident was called in to police shortly after 9:30 a.m., from the 6900 block of Terry Street near its intersection with Raspberry Road.

Myren says members of a moving company had been scheduled to visit a home in the area but were late and found the home unoccupied, at which point the neighbor offered to help let them in.

"It sounds like the neighbor was aware of the plan for the movers to help the people move," Myren said. "Unfortunately, at some point there was a verbal exchange between the neighbor and these movers, and at some point the neighbor went into his home and came out with a firearm."

Police say the scene is safe, with nobody charged in the incident as of 11 a.m. Thursday.
