A Ford van pulling a transport trailer headed north on the Glenn Highway jack-knifed near the Eagle River bridge Thursday, obstructing traffic in the highway's northbound lanes according to Anchorage police.
APD spokesperson Dani Myren says no injuries were reported in the single-vehicle crash, which police were informed of at 11:38 a.m.
"Reports indicate the trailer flipped over and jack-knifed on the road," Myren said.
Myren says one northbound lane reopened by about 12:15 p.m. with police conducting traffic control at the scene, and all lanes reopened by roughly 2:30 p.m. Drivers headed north on the Glenn had been told to expect delays.
Editor's note: The crashed vehicle's description has been updated following initial APD reports that it was a tractor-trailer.
