Calista Announces Acquisition of New Subsidiary

Calista Corp. says it has acquired a new subsidiary that has operated throughout Alaska.

Officials say its new subsidiary is STG Inc., which has installed about 80 percent of utility-scale wind projects operating in Alaska. Calista says STG projects include providing crane support for the Fire Island Wind project near Anchorage.

Officials say the Anchorage-based STG also has experience in bulk fuel systems, diesel power generation projects and other jobs.

A price tag for the acquisition conducted last week was not disclosed.

Calista is the Alaska Native corporation for the Bethel region. It has more than 12,000 shareholders.
