Before you've recovered from Black Friday, the results for Brown Thursday are already being counted.
Local business call their decision to open early a success.
Dimond Center Best Buy manager Rich Coco said business never stopped, and Thursday sales created a better environment for shoppers by breaking up the crowd.
"For us it kind of helped taper the lines off a little bit. We had more time to talk to customers," Coco said. "We had time to help them shop in the stores versus everyone just rushing in to the building."
On the north side of town, Old Navy experienced a more family-type atmosphere on Thanksgiving Day rather than a late-night Black Friday rush, which the store said helped manage the chaos.
"The great thing about it is it was consistent all day," said Old Navy manager Liz Hayes. "Once we opened it wasn't a big rush where everybody went home and went to bed. We had shopping all night long."
