Anchorage police are seeking the public’s help in finding a woman last seen in the Downtown area more than a week ago. According to APD spokesperson Jennifer Castro, 42-year-old Sandee Hopson was last seen walking along Dec. 5 and reported missing Saturday. “There is concern for Hopson’s safety due to personal health issues,” Castro wrote. “She was last seen wearing brown boots and a purple parka, and was walking on 4th Avenue. It was reported that she was walking to meet her sister at the 5th Avenue mall around 4 p.m. on Dec. 5, 2013.” Castro says it’s not clear why there was such a delay in Hopson being reported missing, but that she requires regular medical attention. “Basically she has a physical medical condition that requires routine medical maintenance,” Castro said. Police say Hopson is an Alaska Native woman standing 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds. She had red hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on Hopson’s whereabouts should call police dispatchers at 786-8900.
