The manager of Juneau International Airport is retiring.
The Juneau Empire (http://is.gd/T6WKV8) says 65-year-old Jeannie Johnson said Thursday that she submitted a letter of resignation saying she will leave her position on May 15, which just happens to be her 66th birthday.
Johnson says she is retiring for personal reasons.
Johnson has been airport manager since 2009. Before that, she served on the airport board. She also is a former borough assembly member. Deputy Airport Manager Patricia deLaBruere will serve as acting manager while a search is conducted to replace Johnson.
