Candidates for lieutenant governor are scheduled to meet during a forum Tuesday evening in Anchorage. Democratic candidate Bob Williams said he organized the event, which is being moderated by Rhonda McBride of KTVA-TV. Williams, in a release, said the other candidates who have confirmed their attendance are Democrat Hollis French, Republican Lesil McGuire and Craig Fleener, who plans to run as an independent. French and McGuire are both currently state senators. Williams said Republican Anchorage Mayor Dan Sullivan also was invited to attend. Alaska's current lieutenant governor, Mead Treadwell, is not seeking re-election but rather is running for U.S. Senate.
