Anchorage police have arrested 22-year-old Gregory Fort, the man police named as a suspect in a December shooting at a house party.
Fort was wanted on two counts of first-degree assault in connection with a Dec. 28 shooting at a house party on the 2600 block of Easthaven Circle in Midtown.
When Fort was asked to leave the party around 4 a.m, police say he became “combative and called a friend.”
Police say Fort then allegedly pulled out a gun and shot in the direction of the crowd. A 20-year-old male and 19-year-old female were hit and transported to a hospital for treatment.
APD spokesperson Dani Myren said Fort was arrested without incident after an anonymous tip gave police an idea of his whereabouts.
Fort was arraigned in court on Tuesday.
