Anchorage firefighters report no injuries in a minor fire at a South Anchorage home Thursday afternoon. AFD dispatchers initially sent 11 units to the 11800 block of Toy Drive, in response to a fire reported at 12:15 p.m. While initial reports from arriving crews indicated a working fire, with smoke rising from a garage at the single-family home, dispatchers say the fire was minor and quickly extinguished.
