Alaska State Troopers are asking for the public’s help in finding the culprits responsible for thousands of dollars in damage to cars parked near a boat ramp in Kodiak.

Troopers in Kodiak say nine cars were vandalized near the Anton Larsen Bay boat ramp. The ramp is about 17 miles west of Kodiak.

According to a Tuesday dispatch, Troopers found the vehicles had “one or more windows smashed out on each vehicle.”

The damage occurred sometime between Saturday and Monday, the dispatch noted, and the dollar value will likely lead to felony charges.

Troopers say they’ve only been able to identify two victims so far, but suspect others may not be aware of the damage.

Troopers are requesting the public's help to identify the person or group of people responsible for the damage by calling anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 907-486-3113, or Alaska State Troopers directly at 907-486-4121.
