The outdoor death of a 55-year-old man Saturday morning in Midtown is not being considered suspicious, according to the Anchorage Police Department.
APD spokesperson Anita Shell says his body was found around 10:30 a.m. under a bridge near Mulcahy Stadium by volunteers for a charity walk.
In an emailed statement, Shell wrote, "responding officers said the scene did not look suspicious."
As of 2:15 p.m., police have yet to make contact with the man's family. Once notified, his identity will be released.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the man's exact cause of death.
