Two skiers have been rescued near Wolverine Peak in Anchorage. The Alaska Air National Guard says in a statement that the skiers were picked up Wednesday morning after spending a night in the mountains. Officials said the skiers, who weren't wearing sufficient clothing, contacted Alaska State Troopers. Troopers said a civilian rescue wasn't possible in the rugged terrain and requested help from the guard. A Pave Hawk helicopter picked up the skiers and took them to an Anchorage hospital. Officials say the two possibly had hypothermia, but were in stable condition.
