Police arrested a Fairbanks man accused of threatening women with a gun on the Fourth of July.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports that 43-year-old Mike Mayotte is being held at the Fairbanks Correctional Center on charges of assault and weapons misconduct.
Court documents say Mayotte was in a house with one of the women when two other women arrived. Mayotte and one of the women began arguing about a past incident involving the woman's ex-boyfriend.
While they were arguing, Mayotte allegedly punched the woman and put his hands around her neck. After the woman broke free, he pulled out a pistol and fired a shot that struck a wall.
All three women took refuge in the bedroom, barricaded the door and escaped out the window.
