An event at the Loussac Library on Tuesday had kids learning about and handling some ancient dinosaur artifacts.
The Alaska Museum of Science and Nature supplied the artifacts, so children had the chance to touch real dinosaur bones, teeth, claws, and more as part of the library's summer program.
Kids also learned how to identify tracks and had the opportunity to create a fossil of their own.
This "dino-mite" event continues until Thursday at four other municipal libraries. The public can find the dinosaur bones at the Muldoon and Girdwood libraries Wednesday and at the Chugiak-Eagle River and Mountain View branches Thursday.
