A 23-year-old North Pole man suspected of severely beating a woman has been indicted on an attempted first-degree murder count.      The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports a Fairbanks grand jury last week indicted Trevor Shayne McCumby.      McCumby is being held without bail at Fairbanks Correctional Center, where he had been charged with felony assault. North Pole police described the crime as related to domestic violence.      Police say McCumby broke into the woman's apartment Feb. 16 and hit her repeatedly.      The woman told police McCumby put his foot on her neck and left her gasping for breath.      She told police McCumby took her cellphone and said she wouldn't need it because "she was going to die here."      Police say the woman had a gash on her forehead when she was interviewed.
