Anchorage police are responding Wednesday afternoon to reports of a male infant who fell from a third-story window at a Fairview apartment building.
APD spokesperson Dani Myren says officers responded to apparently inaccurate initial reports of shots fired on the 1600 block of Medfra Street, which initially came in at about noon Wednesday.
"From the way the call is unfolding, there doesn't appear to be any shots fired," Myren said.
Myren said the infant, described as about 1 year old, was reportedly breathing after the fall. He was taken to Providence Alaska Medical Center for treatment.
