Governor Sean Parnell ordered state flags to be lowered to half-staff on Tuesday, June 18 in honor of the late state Representative John "Jack" G. Fuller.
Fuller was elected to the Alaska House of Representatives in 1978.
He served in the Marine Corps, the Michigan National Guard, and the Alaska National Guard prior to his election. He also served as president of the Wasilla Senior Center, chaired the board of directors of the Norton Sound Health Corporation, and served with the Alaska Defense Force.
On June 11, Fuller died in Wasilla at the age of 91. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
